Dr Gilda Brunello has worked in General Practice in Brisbane, and the Lower North Shore of Sydney with an interest in mental health, women’s health, Paediatrics, adolescent health, sexual health, preventative health and chronic disease.
Over the last 5 years Gilda has been working in the youth mental health service, headspace, working in multiple centers throughout Sydney. She has also worked for the NGO, Uniting in the Adult Mental Health Service and the Youth Enhanced Support Service as a Mental Health General Practitioner.
In 2023 she completed a Certificate in Psychiatry and became an accredited Eating Disorder provider.
In addition to work at Pittwater Family Practice Gilda also work in a Psychiatry practice with a special interest in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
Gilda believes that general practice providing a place where the health of the mind and the body comes together to provide whole person care within a long term, trusting, collaborative and inclusive relationship.
Gilda has 3 adult children and in her spare time in an enthusiastic bushwalker and traveller.
ADHD Medication Continuation with Dr Gilda Brunello
Dr Gilda Brunello provides ongoing ADHD medication management for patients aged 6 years and older, once treatment has already been initiated by a qualified psychiatrist. While Dr Brunello cannot prescribe ADHD medication as an initial or first prescription, she is able to safely continue prescribing for patients who are stable on their current regimen. This may change in the future.
To enable this, we require a psychiatrist’s authorisation letter confirming your ADHD diagnosis, the medication prescribed, current dosage, and any relevant clinical notes. Once this documentation is received, Dr Brunello can take over your repeat prescriptions and provide ongoing monitoring and support as part of your continued care.
Our goal is to ensure accessible, coordinated, and high-quality management for patients who already have specialist-initiated ADHD treatment in place.
Dr Gilda Brunello works Tuesdays, & Wednesday , Fridays and some Saturdays.
Gilda does not offer telephone consultations she offers video consultation instead. For telehealth services ( phone) , which are available only under certain circumstances, please call the practice.

* Consultation fees are set by each individual tenant doctor. Dr Gilda will bulk bill children 12 years and under, and Veterans but it is up to the tenant doctor at the time of the consultation.
* This tenant doctor does not offer a bulk billing service on Saturdays. Saturdays consults incur a higher fee.
