Billing Update – Effective 1st November 2025

Dear Patients,

We’d like to keep you informed about some upcoming changes in the healthcare space. Although the government is making adjustments to Medicare billing options, our clinic will continue with private billing from 1 November 2025. We’ve carefully reviewed the options available and believe this is the best approach for maintaining the quality of care we provide.

Why We're Not Moving to Bulk Billing

The government is rolling out new financial incentives to encourage clinics to bulk bill all patients. While this may work for some practices, it’s not a sustainable model for ours. The current Medicare rebate doesn’t fully cover the real costs involved in providing personalised and thorough healthcare.

Maintaining High Standards of Care

Private billing allows us to offer longer, more considered appointments without the pressure of rushing through large numbers of patients each day. With rising expenses involved in running a medical practice — from staff wages to equipment and administration — charging a private fee helps ensure we can continue delivering care at the standard you expect.

What You Can Expect

  • Private fees will apply for most appointments.
  • Medicare rebates can still be claimed — our team can help with this process.
  • We do offer reduced rates for eligible concession card holders and pensioners
  • If cost is a concern, please speak to your doctor or our admin team — we’re happy to work with you.

We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to focus on quality care over quantity.
