ADHD  Medication prescribing

Dr Gilda Brunello provides ongoing ADHD medication management for patients aged 6 years and older, once treatment has already been initiated by a qualified psychiatrist. While Dr Brunello cannot prescribe ADHD medication as an initial or first prescription, she is able to safely continue prescribing for patients who are stable on their current regimen. This may change in the future.

To enable this, we require a psychiatrist’s authorisation letter confirming your ADHD diagnosis, the medication prescribed, current dosage, and any relevant clinical notes. Once this documentation is received, Dr Brunello can take over your repeat prescriptions and provide ongoing monitoring and support as part of your continued care.

 All ADHD consultations incur a fee of $185  for a 30-minute appointment ( as of 1st May 2026), with a Medicare rebate of $87.10  you will be out of pocket $97.90 for 30 minutes . This fee applies to both adults and children of all ages. Please note that ADHD consultations are not bulk billed for children or adults.

Our goal is to ensure accessible, coordinated, and high-quality management for patients who already have specialist-initiated ADHD treatment in place. If you wish to book this type of appointment it will need to be a 30 minute appointment.

You’ll need to call reception to book ADHD appointments, as they can’t be made online due to required preparations beforehand.
